Morocco is a Lower income economies coming under the Middle East and North African region as to the classification made by the World Bank on the basis of income and region for the year 2006.

The economy structure of the Morocco economy is more liberal in nature. The country has experienced a faster and stable economic growth rate in the recent years. Agriculture, industry and services sector have their respective importance in the country's economy. As to the statistics, services constitute a larger share in the country's GDP followed by the industries.

Major agricultural products in the country are wheat, barley and fruits. Important industries in the country are mining, sugar, leather goods, chemicals and tourisms. The country holds huge mineral deposits of coal, iron ore, lead and manganese.
