Senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Adjunct professor at Georgetown University. Per Anders Aslund is a Swedish economist and a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. Additionally, he is the chairman of the International Advisory Council at the Center for Social and Economic Research. From 2003 Aslund was the director of the Russian and Eurasian Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. His work mainly focuses on the economic transition from centrally planned to market economies. Anders Aslund has been dubbed by David Frum as ‘one of the world’s leading experts on the collapse of the planned Soviet economy.’
