Features and benefits of the Thomas Cook credit card include:

  • Variable APR of 17.9% to 19.9%

 

  • Balance transfers for the first nine months are subject to a 0% rate. However, a fee of 2.99% is applicable.

 

  • No annual fee.

 

  • 0% cash handling charges, provided the foreign exchange is bought at Thomas Cook.

 

  • There are no credit card booking charges at Thomas Cook.

  • Card holders earn ‘Travel Pounds’ for every purchase. This reward is offered at the rate of 1% of the total amount of card purchases and can be redeemed against free travel packages, holidays and products related to foreign exchange.

  • Several credit card designs to choose from.

  • Optional feature of Payment and Purchase Protection Insurance. The cover can range from one to three years, which is available for an annual fee of £20 for one year and £50 for three years.

Thomas Cook Card: Restrictions

Although Thomas Cook’s Payment and Purchase Protection Insurance program is a novel feature that protects cardholders from fraudulent card transactions, it does not cover cases in which:

  • The card is being used for a purpose that is not permitted by the card’s issuer.

  • Somebody who is living with the cardholder uses the card without the permission of the cardholder.

  • The cardholder neglects to inform Card Protection Plan Limited within 24 hours of the time of fraudulent use.

Thomas Cook Credit Card: How to Apply

Residents of the UK who are 18 years and above are eligible to apply for the card. They should have a good credit history that is not tainted by arrears, defaults and bankruptcy.
