Abbey offers the Online Banking facility to its customers. Through this facility, Abbey customers can:

  • Access their account anytime
  • Check their balance and view recent transactions
  • View statements and order a copy of statements
  • Move money between their various Abbey bank accounts
  • Set up, change or cancel regular transfers
  • Set up and pay bills
  • View, modify or cancel bill payments
  • Request an advance overdraft if your account allows one

Abbey Credit Card Payment Online: Steps

Steps to pay Abbey credit card dues online are:

  • Go to http://www.abbey.com/.
  • Click the “Online Banking Log On” button.
  • Enter your personal ID or card number, passcode and registration number. If you are a new user, you can obtain your passcode and registration number when you register. You will be prompted to change your passcode when you login for the first time.
  • Click the Submit button.
  • The Personal Page displays information about all your accounts with Abbey.
  • Click the Payments menu option under the “e-banking” menu on the left pane on the screen.
  • Click the “Set up new payment” button.
  • Select the account from which you want to pay.
  • You need to specify the details of the account (payee) into which you want to make the payment, including the payee’s account number, reference code and sort code. Enter the details regarding your Abbey credit card.
  • You can make the payment to the Abbey credit card bill from this page. Specify the payment amount and whether the payment has to be made immediately or on another date.
  • Double check the payment details and then click the Submit button.

Abbey Credit Card Payment Online: Few Basic Facts

Here are a few basic facts about the payment of Abbey credit card dues via the net:

  • The payment will take up to five working days to be reflected on the payee’s account.
  • Online payments made till 5:30pm on a certain day are considered as the same day’s transactions. Payments made later than that will be taken as the next day’s transactions.

You can amend an online payment that has not been processed by using the “Standing Order” menu option under the “e-banking” menu.
