GM Credit Card

 

The GM credit card is issued two card issuers, HSBC and TD Canada. The cards issued by each of these issuers have distinctive features and benefits.

 

Types of GM Credit Cards

There are two types of GM credit cards:
 
GM Flexible Earnings Card
This card is issued by HSBC. The key features and benefits of the GM Flexible Earnings Card are:
  • A low introductory APR(Annual Percentage Rate)
  • No annual fee
  • Online access to your account
  • Transfer of balance over the Internet
  • A 1% cash back on every purchase
  • A 1% contribution towards the purchase of any new vehicle
  • A 3% contribution if you are buying any new eligible GM vehicle
 
GM Card
GM Card is issued by TD Canada. Some of the key features and benefits of this card are:
  • Has an APR of 14.9%, subject to variations.
  • No interest in the initial period for balance transfers, but subsequently follows a variable rate.
  • Earn reward points worth 3% of the total spending through the card.
  • Earn additional partner points if you make purchases from GM Card Partners.
  • Earn 1,000 rebate points when the card is used for the first time.
  • Get a common Carrier Travel Accident insurance of up to $150,000 available for you, your spouse and dependents.
  • Get preferred rates at Budget Rent A Car in Canada, the US and other international locations.

 

GM Credit Card: Points

When you use your GM Card, whether in a restaurant or for a car wash, you become eligible for 3% of the receipt cost in the form of GM Card Earnings. You can use these earnings for the purchase of a new GM vehicle and choose from more than 200 eligible GM models, including Chevrolet, Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac, Buick, Saab, Saturn and Hummer.
 
You can apply for a maximum Redemption Allowance of up to $3,500 in GM Card Earnings toward the Total Purchase Price or lease down payment on any eligible new GM vehicle, depending on the specific vehicle you choose. There is no annual limit to the earnings through this card.
