To register for this service, an individual is required to furnish:
  • The bank account number of the nominated bank,
  • The BSB (Bank State Branch) and
  • The American Express Qantas card details.

An individual can nominate the following accounts for making the American Express Qantas online payment:

  • A company account; provided s/he is a signatory on that account.

An overseas account is not eligible for a Qantas Pay Bill Online service nor can it be used for paying other bills.

Opting for the Automatic Payment Plan
An individual can also use the Automatic Payment Plan to setup direct debit from a nominated checking or savings account towards Amex Qantas credit card payment. For setting up the Automatic Payment Plan, a cardholder has to log in to the online account. First time users can register for online services by furnishing their 15-digit Amex Qantas card number.

Once registered, download the direct debit application form (PDF) file, complete the requisite details and post it to the American Express address.

The difference between Pay Bill Online and Automatic Payment Plan is that the former offers more flexibility. Selecting direct debit results in deduction of a specific amount from the nominated account on a specific day every month.
