In Australia, a free credit card offers 0% Annual Percentage Rate (APR) on purchases and/or balance transfers. Credit cards that can be obtained without the need for paying annual fees may also fall under the free category. Certain other credit cards do not charge interest for a certain period or days.

 

Free Credit Card Australia: 0% APR on Purchases

Banks that offer credit cards with 0% APR on purchases let you save hundreds of dollars in interest charges. This means you will not have to pay interest charges on purchases for a certain period, which may vary for different cards. Citibank Clear Platinum card tops this category with their 0% interest on purchases for 6 months. NAB Low Rate Visa Card also offers 0% interest on purchases for 6 months (normally 12.24%).

 

Free Credit Card Australia: 0% APR on Balance Transfer

Credit cards that offer 0% APR on balance transfers is a good way to save money. One of the best options is ANZ Low Rate MasterCard. This card does not charge any interest for 6 months on balance transfers.
