STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY
Agriculture plays a significant role in the country’s economy. In the year 2005, agriculture accounted for 41.8% of the total GDP.
Major agricultural products of the country are rice, coffee, cotton, livestock and fish.
Important industries in the country are cement, textiles, beverages, and handicrafts.
