STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY

Among various sectors of the economy, the percentage share of Service sector in total GDP is the highest that is 59.1 percent in the year 2004.


The following table shows the percentage share of various sectors of the economy in total GDP.


The main industries in the country are electricity, gas and water, food, base metals, chemical products, coke, refined petroleum and nuclear fuels.

The above graph represents that the percentage share of services in total GDP is increasing on the contrary the share of Industry is declining.
