Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan is a lower middle income economies comes under Europe and Central Asian region as to the classification made by the world bank on the basis of income and region for the year 2006.

Both structural and regulatory reforms undertaken by the Government has brought some economic success for the country. The industrial sector of the country constitutes a larger share in the total GDP followed by the services sector.

The major agricultural products of the country are grapes, fruits, vegetables, tobacco and cotton. Important industries of the country are food, timber, textiles, chemicals, motor vehicles, and oil. The country's natural resources are also important areas of concerns.

The exports products of the country are oil, gas, machines and foodstuffs. It is presently under the observer category of World Trade Organization.
