By the end of 2008, the group had over 68,000 employees and 17,000 agents, and more than 75 million policies across America and Canada. It also provides banking services through State Farm Bank®.
Allstate Insurance: This company commenced its operations in 1931. It became a publicly traded company in 1933. Its slogan is, “You’re In Good Hands With Allstate®.†Some of its 13 major insurance lines include auto, motorcycle, home, boat, renters, condominium, business and retirement. The company is also engaged in banking services through Allstate Bank. This is a Fortune 100 company and had $156.4 billion in assets and 14,900 exclusive agencies as of 2008.
