Fleer trading card producing company is based in New Jersey. This company is a private firm and produces licensed fleer trading card for Major League, NBA, WNBA and NFL.

Fleer originally developed a type of bubble gum called Blibber-Blubber in 1906 but this brand of bubble gum could not gain much acceptance among people as the quality was very poor.

Fleer then switched over to manufacturing Fleer trading card and came to be recognized as a trading cards creating company. It took over the trading card manufacturing company called SkyBox International.

The first player Fleer hired was Ted Williams, when he was at the peak of his career and Fleer managed to sell as many as eighty Fleer trading cards which contained information revolving around Ted Williams’s career.

Fleer manufactured two sets of Fleer trading card in 1980. Fleer was the only company to bring out the Roger Clemens Card. It included the Boston Red Sox Prospect.

Generally the Fleer Trading card base cards consists of 400 cards. All the Fleer trading card base cards share the same design. The images are mounted in a manner which gives it the appearance of being embossed on the cardboard. The Fleer trading card set has a white border and the information about the players written along with the logo of the particular team.The first 320 Fleer trading card are old timers excluding those players who later changed their squads. This is followed by a MLB rookie cards and 30 team checklists.

The insert cards of the fleer trading card set are also included in the set. The most widely available is the 25 Rookie Sensation.

Perfect 10 is one of the four insert card sets which conveys information about those players who came out first in different categories.
