Solana Labs announced the plugin in late April, primarily targeting end users to help facilitate their entry into Web3.

Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder of Solana and CEO of Solana Labs, mentioned that the current functionality of the ChatGPT plugin involves extracting on-chain data. This extracted data can be utilized to create transactions for execution on the blockchain.

Yakovenko expressed his optimism about the speed and affordability of Solana, anticipating that individuals will be able to execute these transactions within a ChatGPT loop seamlessly.

Solana Announces AI Accelerator Program and Grant Program

The Solana Foundation’s three-month accelerator program is specifically designed for university students, with one of its cohorts dedicated to exploring the intersection of blockchain and AI.

The program received numerous applications from projects and contributors, and the AI cohort has already produced two noteworthy developments.

One is an interactive chatbot called “Ask Solana U,” which answers queries about Solana development and assists in locating relevant Solana documentation.

The other is Solana Audits AI, a security-enhancing tool designed for Solana-based programs.

The AI accelerator program will offer selected participants access to cutting-edge infrastructure, technical support, and business guidance.

Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts in the field, receive feedback on their projects, and gain exposure to potential investors and partners.

By nurturing the development of AI projects, Solana aims to position itself as a hub for AI innovation within the blockchain industry.

Furthermore, the Solana Foundation expanded its grant program for AI-focused projects built on Solana.

Initially set at $1 million in late April, the grant program has now been increased to $10 million.

The spokesperson further revealed that within a month, more than 50 grant applications were submitted, and a few companies have already been awarded grants.
