Use of mobile phones has become more beneficial on the part of small enterprises in developing nations. The use of Mobile phones contribute to the business development and world economy.

Growing Asian region has largest number of new subscribers in 2004-05. In the African region, countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt and Morocco have comparatively higher subscriber base.

In the year 2005, total number of mobile phone subscribers passed 2 billion marks.
