The World Development Report 2007 has come out with a special focus on 1.3 billions of young peoples in the developing nations over the world as a true potential for the World Economy. These young minds in the developing countries are expected to contribute a lot to global economic development, provided these young minds are being channelized properly.
The World Bank Chief Economist Francois Bourguignon said, “the young generation today is extremely big and probably the biggest it will ever be in many countries”.

World Economy has experienced a most favorable environment in the recent years through better market performance. The financial markets particularly, experienced a faster pace of growth. The role of some developing economies in the Asian region has been marked worthy in the world economic development.
Though the young minds in the developing economies have contributed a lot, still the countries have failed to some extent in making commensurate additional human capital formation.
It has really become a great challenge on the part of developing nations to make huge investment on their social sectors through limited public revenues. Even largely available foreign capital has stronger negative impact on an economy.
So for putting these young minds in a proper way, the international organizations can play a significant role.
