The following points give a clear picture on the India in the Hannover Messe 2006.

• Top political leaders from India with initiatives will present in the Hannover Messe 2006. The Prime Minister of India is expected to lead the Government delegation there. Ministers for Commerce & Industry, Science & Technology and Ocean Development, and Petroleum & Natural Gas and Panchayati Raj are expected to be part of the government delegation for the summit.
   
• The business delegation from India represents large, medium and small technology companies. The Indian participation is expected to be maximum in the Energy, Research and Development, Subcontracting and automation sectors. The Indian participation will also showcase large Indian groups with a diverse technology portfolio.
   
• With close to 10,000-sqm spaces at the fair grounds, the Indian pavilion at Hannover Messe would be amongst the largest ever by a partner country.
   
• Large Indian Public Sector companies from Indian Energy and R&D sectors will also participate in the fair.
   
• The Indo-German Business Summit, being co-organized by the IBEF and BDI (Federation of German Industries) highlights the exciting investment opportunities that India holds for German and other European businesses. The Sectoral seminars would be held over the course of the fair with focus on specific sectors and opportunities for partnership with India.
