    • act of war
    • getting injured while doing a work for another employee or worker
    • committing fraud
    • engaging one self in illegal activities

    Long term Hartford disability insurance:

    Long term Hartford disability insurance is applicable in the event when the short term Hartford disability insurance is already attained and one is extending the disability period further.

    One gets a Hartford disability insurance coverage depending upon the amount one is enrolling for. The Hartford disability insurance allows one to enroll for an amount between $300 to $5000.

    The amount has to be however within the limits of the individual’s regular income.

    Hartford disability insurance gets effective after an individual has spent 6 months in disabled period(elimination period). One intending to return to work for 30 days will not affect ones elimination period.

  • An employee who was previously denied entry are eligible to enroll during this period possessing disease in the pre existing condition.
  • The pre existing disease condition not only includes the actual disease it also includes any associated symptom related to the pre existing illness.

    Calculation of long term Hartford disability insurance:

  • Annual salary or wage is first calculated.
  • Maximum monthly amount from all sources is found out.
