The total estimated population in the state as of 2005 is calculated at 623,050 in comparison to 621,394 in July 2004. The net change in population 2002-03 was 0.4%.According to the US Census 2000, the total population in the state was 608,827.Population density in the state was 66.9 per sq mi.With regards to the Racial Distribution 2000, White 96.8%; Black 0.5%; Asian 0.9%; Native American 0.4%.
Business and Economy of Vermont
The Gross state product in 2001 was $19.1 billion. The per capita personal income in 2003 was $30,740.
Chief Industries in the economy include manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, trade, finance, insurance, real estate and the Government.
Important manufacturing goods are machine tools, furniture, scales, computer equipment, books and the speciality foods.
The Major Crops in the state are dairy products, apples, maple syrup, green house/nursery, vegetables and fruits.
Livestock in the state (Jan 2004): 285,000 cattle/calves; (Jan 2003): 2,100 hogs/pigs; (Dec 2003): 199,000 chickens.
Apart from this state’s most valuable mineral resources are stone, asbestos, sand and gravel, and talc.

Tourist Attraction Of vermont
