Structure of Federal reserves
The Federal Reserves includes Federal Open Market Committee, Federal Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors.
The members in the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserves are nominated by the President and are confirmed by the Senate. The Board of Governors also includes the Chairman and Vice Chairman in the board. Federal open market committee includes 7 members of the board of Governors and five selected from Federal Reserve Banks.
Presently Ben Bernanke is the Chairman of the Federal Reserves.

The Federal reserves in the United States aims at creating financial environment in the country. Important functions are as follows:
