This Wednesday, March 8th, a technology provider in the trading industry known as Centroid Solutions announced its new partnership with Dubai Financial Market (DFM). Thanks to the new team-up, Centroid has effectively opened a trading gateway to the financial markets of the Middle East.

DFM is quite well known as being one of the largest stock exchanges in the UAE. With the partnership, Centroid’s clients will be able to access securities and other financial instruments that are listed in Dubai, offering them both locally and globally.

The company’s CEO, Christian Vlasceanu, stated that, as a UAE-headquartered global fintech firm, Centroid is delighted to collaborate closely with DFM and enable easy access to securities and other assets listed in Dubai to its global customer base. Centroid will use its flagship multi-asset connectivity technology to allow financial institutions to expand their offering and enable trading of regional securities to investors and traders around to globe.

He added that the company believes that the integration will be beneficial for both the regional financial institutions, as well as global players, as it would drive additional investments into the region. This will also happen right at the time when Dubai itself is trying to cement its position of a powerful global hub for capital markets.

The new partnership will improve Centroid’s offerings

As for Centroid itself, it is a company that provides infrastructure and technology solutions for the trading industry. As such, it offers risk management, execution engines, bridging, as well as hosting solutions. It also specifically targets brokers that have multi-asset offerings, and it improves their risk-adjusted returns. Other than that, it can also optimize operating costs, and contribute to their businesses in other ways.

The company stated that it has existing connectivity to over 250 different market participants and liquidity venues. On top of that, it can also offer integration with some of the industry’s leading trading platforms, including MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, not to mention access for global financial institutions that wish to access DFM with order execution, risk engines, and pricing.

In addition to all of that, Centroid is also improving its own offerings with other partnerships in the financial industry. For example, it recently managed to secure a deal with IRESS, a fintech firm from Australia. The partnership will allow Centroid to offer real-time pricing data and trading APIs to its clients.

However, the partnership with DFM came at a crucial moment for Dubai as well, as mentioned. It will help push it towards its vision of capital markets’ digital transformation and development. The markets in the Middle East are already seeing a rapid surge in interest coming from international investors, as 49% of all trades on DFM in 2022 came from outside of the country.
