This is actually a device that is used for the purpose of making biodiesel by using vegetable oils as raw material.

[br]The biodiesel processor is made up of a collection area and a reaction vehicle. These devices are available in different types like industrial grade system, biodiesel processors for homebrew processes and so on. These devices follow a definite process for the purpose of producing biodiesel. The process starts with the preparing the raw material for the purpose. Here, the raw material is the vegetable oil and the most important factor is maintaining proper level of free fatty acid as well as water in the vegetable oil.Free fatty acids and water are two major components of vegetable oils and if the proper level of both of these things is not maintained, there might be a number of problems in the process like formation of soap, separating glycerin by-product and a lot more.
After achieving proper levels of fatty acids and water, a catalyst is mixed with the alcohol in a mixer. Next, the solution is introduced in the biodiesel processor’s closed reaction vessel. Here, the vegetable oil or the animal oil is added in the solution. Now, this solution is heated at a definite temperature and for the purpose, the system is enclosed totally so that the level of alcohol remains same.
[br] The solution is heated to create esters from the fat that remains in the vegetable oil. The reaction process is stimulated by keeping the solution at nearly 70 degree centigrade. The process takes 1-8 hours for completion and at the end of the process, the mixture is converted into glycerin.In the next step, the glycerin is taken away from the biodiesel by following a simple process. After successful completion of this step, the additional alcohol is removed from the unwashed biodiesel as well as from the glycerin. The separated alcohol can be used further for the same purpose. Next, the unwashed biodiesel passes through the mist or bubble wash process and finally, after filtering, the biodiesel is ready for use.
This entire process takes place through the biodiesel processors. There are different processors that are used to produce different quantity of biodiesel. The processors for commercial as well as home use are different. These devices also comes in different sizes and can be installed anywhere without much problem.
