  • 0% interest rate on card purchases during the initial six months. Thereafter, an interest rate of 16.6% is applicable.

 

  • Inaugural balance transfer rate of 0% for the first 15 months. After this period, balance transfers are subject to an interest rate of 18.6%. A handling fee of 2.98% will be charged in both cases.

 

  • The check transaction and money transfer rate is 20.6%, which is only applicable after the first 15 months of the card being issued.

 

  • Free Purchase Protection Insurance, covering all purchases that cost between £50 and £1,000 for 100 days.
  • Free Travel Accident Insurance pays for travel tickets and provides travel protection cover worth £250,000.
  • 24/7 online or telephonic customer services.
  • Add-on discount schemes.

Virgin Credit Card: Restrictions

Some of the restrictions that are applicable to Virgin Credit Cards are:

  • Offered credit limit can vary according to individual circumstances. High salary and low debts make the applicant eligible for a higher credit limit.
  • Default charges of £12 are applicable if the customer exceeds the credit limit or makes late payments.
  • Virgin credit cards are also offered by MBNA. A cardholder cannot transfer the balance from any other credit card issued by MBNA.

An applicant must reside in the UK and should be 18 years or above. Additionally, s/he must have a bank or a building society account. An application for a Virgin credit card can be initiated either on the phone or by visiting the official website of Virgin Money.
