The Barclays Debit Card refers to the different types of debit cards issued by the Barclays Bank to its customers who possess current accounts. The several Barclays Debit Cards primarily enable consumers to draw cash from ATMs as and when required and also to pay for commodities and services without having to carry cash, in a convenient and secure manner.
The two major types of Barclays Debit Card provided by Barclays Bank for the convenience of its customers are as follows :
However using the Barclays Debit Card at ATMs that serve the Global Alliance comprising Westpac, Scotiabank, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America involve no charges.
Barclays Debit Card has recently been converted into a new carbon-neutral debit card that is being delivered to existent debit card users when the current Barclays Debit Card possessed by them expires.
All the usages pertaining to the Barclays Debit Card are free except the following instances :
- Drawing sterlings anywhere other than a Barclays branch or an ATM which involve a minimal 2 percent charge that ranges between £1.50 and £4.50.
- A minimal charge of 2 percent ranging between £1.50 and £4.50 for acquiring travellers’ cheques or foreign currency at places apart from branches of Barclays Bank, the official website of Barclays Bank or via the Barclays Travel Line.
