There are four main departments in the bank such as economics, financial markets, financial institutions and currency and corporate services.
The bank’s important functions, powers, and responsibilities are specified in the Reserve Bank of Fiji Act, 1983. On the basis of the acts, the bank functions.

  • Control of money supply and credit supply

  • Maintenance of monetary and economic stability
  • Promotion of a sound financial system for bringing economic development of the Fijian economy
