Economic Structure Yemen Rep

Both industrial sector as well as services sector has the largest contribution to the country’s economy.

According to the given statistics, the percentage share of the services sector in the total GDP of the country in 2004 was 48.7 percent followed by Industries at 37.5.Major industries in the country are Cement, food processing, textiles, and petroleum and leather production. Important agricultural products in the country are fruits, grains, vegetables, coffee, cotton and diary products.

The following table shows the percentage share of various sectors in the total GDP of the country.
