Chile’s imports in 2009 were worth $9.4 billion, down by 21.4% from $11.9 billion in 2008.

However, Chile’s global trade deficit witnessed a 10.3% drop, from $8.9 billion in 2008 to $7.9 billion in 2009.[br]
