A long-awaited Finance Magnates Africa Summit (FMAS:24) has recently been rescheduled and is now to take place between May 20 and 22. While being the most anticipated event in Africa in 2024, it had to be rescheduled due to national elections that are gtaking place in South Africa on May 29.

Rescheduling will allow attendees to participate in South Africa’s elections

According to reports, the event will take place in Sandton City. The rescheduling had to be done in order to avoid conflicts with the established election period. This way, it will allow all participants to attend the event and still have the time and opportunity to exercise their civic duties in South Africa.

Finance Magnates’ CEO, Michael Greenberg, said that this decision is in the best interest of sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, and attendees themselves.

He explained that the rescheduling would ensure that the show could proceed at full capacity with no limitations, “guaranteeing your planned participation and experience and allowing our attendees to fulfill their civic responsibilities.”

The largest event in Africa

The event has been quite hyped up over the past several months, as it intends to bridge the B2B and B2C space. At the same time, it would promote networking and connections between local and regional providers, as well as brands, global brokers, and others.

Currently in its second year, FMAS:24 is one of the largest events of this kind on the entire African continent. It is expected to have massive attendance, including both the visitors and leading talents. On top of that, it is also expected to see some of the biggest-name experts from all corners of the world.

As mentioned, it will take place in Sandton, which is itself a growing financial hub located in South Africa. More precisely, the event will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Who is this event for?

FMAS:24 claims that it has something for everyone, regardless of whether they are a returning attendee or a first-time visitor. Specifically, it will have a variety of talents who will be attending, with several verticals being represented across a number of spaces, such as fintech, payments, trading, and digital assets.

Reports also say that the event is being organized to cater to retail traders, brokers, brands, and others. It will include a robust range of individuals available to do business, network, engage, and connect face-to-face with.

It will also be an opportunity to showcase some of the biggest ongoing trends and topics, with taking points across every industry. Visitors will be able to join panel discussions, webinars, and similar events. The idea is for attendees to hear out what industry professionals have to say and gain valuable insights into new technologies and trends, both in Africa and beyond.

In total, the organizers expect to see over 5,000 attendees, more than 150 speakers, and over 70 exhibitors.
