Blockchain startup accelerator, Cronos Labs has strengthened its collaboration with Google Cloud. According to the platform, Google Cloud will be the main cloud provider for Cronos and its ecosystem. Additionally, the collaboration will be based on four major pillars:
Value creation: this will be focused on startups of the company’s Accelerator program
Expansion in developer adoption: the second pillar will focus on the bridging of blockchain and AI technology.
The fourth pillar, according to the announcement, will focus on onboarding Google Cloud to become a Cronos Validator.
The Collaboration Will Improve The Security Of The Protocol
Managing Director at Cronos Labs, Ken Timsit, commented on the development. He stated that the collaboration with Google Cloud will bring tangible value to developers and end-users in a lot of ways.
First, it will open the door to the growth and development of a new generation of innovative decentralized applications (dApps). The platform will use Google Cloud’s AI capabilities, computing, and data processing.
Also, the Cronos Accelerator program will be more attractive to startups and other small tech companies. Third, the collaboration will enhance and improve the reliability and security of the entire network.
Head of Web3 APAC, Google Cloud, Rishi Ramchandani, also commented about the partnership. He stated that Google Cloud will strengthen its commitment to the growth and development of the Web3 ecosystem by becoming a validator node operator when it joins the Cronos ecosystem.
The Collaboration Will Help To Build The Next-Gen Decentralized Apps
Cronos will also partner with Google Cloud for the latter to provide resources to developers as they build the next generation of dApps. Cronos will leverage Google Cloud’s strong data analysis, advanced AI capabilities, and secure infrastructure.
Already, there are 32 validators on the Cronos EVM protocol. Google Cloud will join this pool of validators to improve stability and increase safety on the network. The nodes produce and confirm blocks every seconds, which makes them important to the decentralized validation of transactions.
Cronos stated that the onboarding of Google Cloud on its protocol aligns with its strategy of collaborating with open-source validators and contributors known for their expansive technical expertise. Some of the contributors to the Cronos ecosystem include Exaion, Ubisoft, Blockdaemon, Crypto.com, and other major global validators.
The partnership also signal’s Google Cloud and Cronos’ ambition of expanding the web3 and blockchain ecosystem. They want to enhance the efficiency and security of the ecosystem.
