Rightmove has today revealed the most viewed homes for sale on its UK website and it shows we all like to aspire to the nicer things in life, and no more so than when it comes to browsing for the ideal home at real estate portals.

Whether you covet a secluded spot on the Pembrokeshire coast or an all mod-cons luxury penthouse suite in the heart of the city, all are within reach at the click of a mouse, even if your real-world budget doesn’t quite match your imagined ambitions. But having said that, the average home in the UK is currently priced at £250,000.

And when we have been stuck at home for a greater part of nearly two years, idling a way the time browsing for that ideal abode perhaps has even greater attractions.

So what exactly have we looking for on the property front this year. Rightmove, as it does every year, has delved into its analytics to dig out the 10 most browsed properties on its website in 2021.

Currently, Rightmove lists around 1.1 million making it the largest property portal in the UK, so there has been plenty to choose from for the discerning browser.

Commenting on the top 10 most-browsed of the site’s users, Rightmove’s Property Expert Tim Bannister said: “This year in property has really been like no other. We’ve seen people imagining the life that could be in the countryside, looking at what’s on offer by the coast, and more recently, reigniting their curiosity about the city.

“All of this is apparent in our most viewed homes of the year, where there really is a dream home for everyone, from a London manor house just yards from Hampstead Heath to a coastal escape with direct access to the sea in Cornwall. Britain continues to have a real fascination with property this year, and a passion for homes of varying designs, layouts and locations.”

If you are looking to seriously enter the market then you may want to start the search for cheap mortgages rates before they start to rise when the Bank of England raises interest rates next year to clampdown on inflation.

OK let’s get to it – here’s the list of the 10 most searched for properties on Rightmove in 2021.
