Madalina Rotaru Departs Capex/NAGA Group Following Successful Tenure

Madalina Rotaru, who worked at Capex/NAGA Group for many years, has left the company. She played important roles there, being the Group Chief Operating Officer after the two companies merged. Before then, she served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NAGA Group.
She wrote on LinkedIn that her long journey with the company has ended. She shared that her work as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Group Chief Operating Officer brought many hard moments, good chances, and big lessons. She believed that those years helped her grow, both in her job and in life.
Madalina Rotaru’s Leadership Path And Her Role In CAPEX-NAGA’s Growth
She first joined CAPEX.com as a Branch Director. After about a year, she moved up to Group Chief Operating Officer. She also led CAPEX.com’s MENA work and took charge as the Chief Executive Officer of the UAE team when COVID-19 started. When CAPEX.com and NAGA joined, she also took on the Deputy Chief Executive Officer job in NAGA.
Before she started working at CAPEX/NAGA, she spent a short time as the Head of Operations at Trade.com.
At one point, CAPEX.com took over NAGA. CAPEX.com’s Chief Executive Officer put $9 million into NAGA and became the leader of the joined company. Not long after that, NAGA’s co-founder, Ben Bilski, left. Around the same period, NAGA let go of 40% of its workers.
The new company made less money than before, but its profit margin went up a little. The Group revenue of the merged NAGA and CAPEX.com dropped to EUR 62.3 million, while the earlier amount was EUR 77.5 million. However, Group EBITDA reached EUR 8.1 million, and its profit margin increased to 13%, which was higher than the earlier 11%.
Madalina Rotaru’s Next Steps After Years Of Leadership At CAPEX-NAGA
Many changes took place after the two companies joined. The leadership team shifted, and some leaders stepped down. The business also cut down its team. These changes came after CAPEX.com’s Chief Executive Officer took charge of the company and invested in it.
Madalina Rotaru played a key role in the company for many years, and her leadership shaped its growth. She moved up quickly in CAPEX.com and helped lead its Middle East work. After CAPEX.com and NAGA joined, she took on even more responsibility.
With the company changing, she decided to step away. She looked back on her time at Capex/NAGA Group as an important part of her career, saying that the lessons and experiences were valuable.
Even though the company faced challenges, it still worked to grow and improve its earnings. The leadership changes, team cuts, and business shifts showed how the company tried to adapt to new needs.
