LTP, a prime brokerage company based in Hong Kong, recently made a major push into the European digital asset market. To enter Europe, the company acquired a Spanish firm called Turing Capital Brokerage, or TCB.

With TCB being a licensed and regulated firm in an EU country, it is compliant with the famous MiCA regulatory framework. This, in turn, means that LTP will be able to use the company to offer institutional clients a fully compliant crypto brokerage service across the EU.

The move will significantly improve LTP’s standing in the rapidly growing digital finance sector, and its CEO and founder, Jack Yang, said that it represents a significant step in the company’s mission to provide regulated, institutional-grade digital asset services on a global scale.

“With LTP Spain’s MiCA-compliant adaptability and deep-rooted expertise in the European market, we are poised to deliver unparalleled access and liquidity to our institutional clients,” he added. The acquisition represents a strategic expansion for his firm, and with the purchase over, TCB has already been rebranded as Liquidity Technology S.L (LTP Spain).

LTP Needs A MiCA-Compliant Entity

The MiCA regulatory framework is still relatively new in Europe, but it brought a major change to how the EU nations handle crypto. MiCA significantly tightened the framework, making it difficult for foreign firms to enter with their own products. However, acquisitions such as this one can easily position a foreign player as a key service provider and allow them to integrate the regional expertise of the acquired company, which is what is happening with TCB.

Furthermore, by expanding into Europe, LTP is reinforcing its commitment to compliance and innovation, making sure that institutional investors have someone to turn to and navigate the digital finance landscape with ease.

The company has made major plans to bridge traditional finance with digital assets in a secure and forward-looking way, and now it has the opportunity to do just that.
