Paul Krugman of the New York Times and the Princeton economics department [br]
conducts a not-always-totally-clear-or-incisive 😉 tour of the scientific arguments for – and the economic arguments about how – to build a “green economy.”
To be perfectly honest, I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that the ~800 word column really is the ideal format for Krugman.
It forces him to be clear and concise, and make his arguments in the strongest possible way.
Not that there’s anything particularly bad or problematic about this article – [br]
in fact, for those not familiar with either the environmental or economic issues involved in building a green economy, it’s definitely useful.
It’s just that, when given a lot of space, he tends to become much more academic in style and reasoning,
and neither of them are what we need at this time … 😉 …
Still, it’s certainly worth checking out … and if you think we’re wrong in our characterization of his substance and / or style,
then PLEASE don’t hesitate to let us know … 😉 …
