A Melbourne-based forex and CFD broker, Pepperstone, recently made a move that would further strengthen its position in the sports arena. The trading firm decided to enter a new sponsorship deal with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team.
The partnership was just announced today, January 6, revealing that the broker managed to gain the F1 racing team’s Global Forex and Trading Partner status via the sponsorship deal. So far, neither of the partners revealed financial or other specific details of the deal, but they made it known that it is a multi-year contract.
With that said, past reports have placed the entry cost for F1 sponsorship at around half a million dollars, excluding the top three or four teams. This information could be used by fans as an estimate of the partnership’s figure.
Aston Martin Aramco’s First Partnership In 2025
The team-up with Pepperstone also marks the first partnership Aston Martin Aramco has made in 2025. The deal will likely see the brokerage’s branding debuting on the team’s race car when it is launched ahead of the next F1 season.
Commenting on the new development, Pepperstone’s Group CEO, Tomas Szabo, stated that the brokerage is thrilled to work together with the popular team and that it is very excited about the creation of a winning partnership that would drive success both on and off-track. He added that the firm can’t wait to celebrate this at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, which will be the first of the season, and the home race for the company.
Also, while it is true that Aston Martin did not secure any top position in the 2024 F1 racing season, it still has some of the best drivers in the sport. One example is Fernando Alonso, who finished ninth last season. However, the team still managed to come in fifth in the constructor’s championship standings.
It is also worth noting that the popular team has had dealings with CFD brokers in the past, so this is hardly its first partnership with a similar brokerage. Until last year, it was sponsored by another CFD broker called AvaTrade, which ended the partnership instead of renewing it for the next season, and has instead entered a new sponsorship deal with another highly popular team — Oracle Red Bull Racing.
