Fujitsu and Palantir Technologies to Work Together On Business Transformation

Fujitsu, a digital transformation firm, is partnering with Palantir Technologies to foster business transformation across Japan. The two firms will also ally to address some critical issues in society.

Fujitsu will benefit from this deal by leveraging Palantir’s artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. It will also improve its data integration features to address major societal issues using Fujitsu Uvance.

Fujitsu Partners With Palantir Technologies

The partnership will start offering services across Japan in the 2023 financial year. The two plan to expand their offerings across global markets in the 2024 financial year.

Fujitsu and Palantir Technologies will also leverage the technological capability provided by Palantir Foundtry within its Uvance program. This offering will allow Fujitsu to offer an integrated data infrastructure while supporting partnerships across different industries.

The global head of business development at Palantir Technologies, Kevin Kawasaki, commented on this deal, saying the two companies had initially worked together to support customers across leading industries in Japan. It had worked on manufacturing, financial, and government services, among others.

“We are pleased to jointly bring AIP into our most rapidly growing geographies, including the United States, and look forward to the continued partnership with Fujitsu’s talented engineers,” Kawasaki said.

Using Technology to Solve Business Problems

The SEVP of global business solutions at Uvance Business for Fujitsu Limited, Yoshinami Takahashi, opined that Fujitsu was working alongside platforms such as Palantir Technologies Japan and Palantir to equip engineers with the needed skills and capabilities.

The engineering skills beneficial to this partnership include data integration and utilization. This offering will also address crucial business challenges at the data origin using the industry-leading solutions offered by Palantir.

Takahashi believes the company will benefit from this initiative by leveraging Palantir’s cutting-edge data integration and AI capabilities. Fujitsu will also use the deal to advance its class computing and simulation technologies. Innovative technologies will be critical in realizing SX and DX and promoting ESG management systems.

It is not the first time Fujitsu is working on digitizing customer experiences, products, and services. Recently, it announced a partnership with 77 Bank to digitize customer service at the branch level. The offering will make it easier for customers to access services and for Fujitsu to achieve its vision for digital transformation.
