XTrend, contracts for difference (CFD) brokerage platform regulated in Cyprus, plans to expand to the Southeast Asian market. The online trading service provider said it had acquired a deal as a Regional Sponsor for the Argentine national football team in Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.

The sponsorship deal will also extend to Hong Kong and Taiwan. The sponsorship deal is strategic for the broker and might significantly impact growing its brand presence. The Argentina national football team won the 2022 FIFA World Cup event in Qatar late last year.
According to the Argentine Football Association, this sponsorship deal will allow the organization to bring some of the country’s most popular football stars before a larger audience. Some of the most popular football stars in the country include Lionel Messi, Emi Martinez, Angel Di Maria, and Julián Alvarez.
XTrend and AFA issued a joint statement that the sponsorship deal will include the two launching commercial and marketing activities. These activities seek to improve the synergy and power of brands operating across the Southern Asian market.
The CEO of XTrend, Michael Rezaie, commented on this deal saying that the partnership will allow the brokerage platform to link technology and innovation. These offerings will be available across many football players operating in the region.
Rezaie added that XTrend shared the same values and commitment as the Argentina football team, as the broker wanted to emerge as a top performer in the global financial industry. As such, the broker was eager to uncover the opportunities the deal would open up for clients.

The association opens a new platform for us to connect with fans. As a result, our association is consolidated as a leader in the world football environment.”
XTrend expands presence across the sports sector
XTrend has been expanding its presence through sports sponsorship deals. The new partnership between XTrend and AFA came around a year after the online trading platform became the sponsor of ACF Fiorentina.
The partnership between XTrend and ACF Fiorentina allowed XTrend and XTrend Speed to boost brand awareness using different marketing opportunities. The offering includes the logo display on LED walls during matches and interview backdrops.
AFA has attracted multiple partnership deals in recent months. The other brokers that have worked with the organization include T1Markets and TradeATF, allowing the football association to grow its presence.
AFA is also working with digital-savvy partners. In 2022, the exchange secured a five-year sponsorship deal with AFA. The deal in question marks the first sponsorship deal announced by the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange for a national team as it also plans to grow its presence in Argentina.
