Citi has launched a helpful tool named Citi Shop to assist people in finding great deals. It’s a free tool that works on computers and is designed for Citi’s credit card holders in the U.S.
When users install Citi Shop on their laptops, it silently looks for coupons and offers from over 5,000 online stores. This is Citi’s means of giving extra value to its credit card members by making it easier to save money and time. With Citi Shop, users can get great deals without much effort.
The New App Will Enable Users Locate Good Deals Easily
The main problem many people need help with when trying to get good deals is the time constraint. A study by Citi found that over a third of Americans (35%) feel it takes a lot of work to find online promo codes or coupons because it takes so long.
The study also revealed that a notable majority, 74%, gave up purchasing things online because they found looking for a good deal challenging. The study highlights the common issue of time-consuming searches for discounts affecting a large portion of the American population.
Citi Shop assists cardmembers in quickly finding savings while shopping on the internet. It covers just about 30 categories, such as pet essentials, household items, consumer electronics, beauty products, clothing, and more.
Citi Shop To Enhance Savings and Streamline
To use the Citi Shop extension, cardmembers need to add it to a compatible browser like Microsoft Edge, Safari, or Google Chrome. After enrolling their eligible Citi credit card, they’ll get alerts about available offers as they shop online.
Any savings from these offers will be credited directly to their Citi credit card. Cardmembers can easily track these savings in the Citi Shop dashboard online or on the Citi Mobile App. Additionally, the extension looks for coupons that cardmembers can use during checkout to save money on their purchases instantly.
The head of Proprietary Products Management for U.S. Branded Cards at Citi, Anthony Merola, mentioned that Citi Shop is designed to simplify the process for cardmembers to save on purchases from a reliable source, offering a seamless experience at the point of sale.
Moreover, the Citi Shop extension is run by Wildfire Systems Inc., strengthening Citi’s connection with the shopping rewards platform. In 2022, Citi Ventures, one of Citi’s investment branches, invested in Wildfire to help the company continue innovating, growing, and enhancing enjoyable online shopping experiences for consumers.
