Aussie Broker Axi Extends Collaboration with Esporte Clube Bahia

Axi, a forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker whose headquarters are in Australia is extending its sponsorship deal with Brazilian football club, Esporte Clube Bahia.

The deal comes as the brokerage platform leverages the benefits that come from sports sponsorship deals. Under the renewed deal, Axi and Esporte Clube Bahia will collaborate for the 2024 season.

Axi Seeks to Grow Its Presence with Renewed Sports Deal

Axi first secured a sponsorship deal with Esporte Clube Bahia in May 2023. Under the agreement, Axi became the Official Online Trading Partner for the football club. The deal also saw the Axi brand appear on different physical and digital infrastructures of the club.

Axi and Esporte Clube Bahia have remained mute over the financials of this deal. However, Axi believes that the objective behind the deal, which has been under development for a while, was to bring the sports and trading industries together.

“When we initiated this collaboration in 2023, we had no idea how receptive the Bahia fans would be,” said the Head of Brand and Sponsorship at Axi, Hanah Hill. “As we move forward into a new season, our commitment to bringing the worlds of trading and football closer together remains unchanged.”

Expanding Its Presence in Brazil

Esporte Clube Bahia is one of the most popular football clubs in Brazil, having been founded in 1991. The club plays at the top local football league in the country. It also has a vast fan base, with its home stadium having a capacity of around 48,000 fans.

The vast fan base has also seen this football club garner a significant presence across social media platforms. By working with Esporte Clube Bahia, Axi seeks to grow its presence in Brazil and make its brand visible to more people.

It is not the first time that Axi is looking to expand its brand presence through sports sponsorship. The brokerage platform also sponsors one of the largest clubs in the English Premier League, Machester City.

The broker has also secured another deal with Girona FC, a Spanish football club, in a bid to grow its presence in Spain. These deals indicate that Axi is leveraging the benefits of sports marketing to appeal to loyal sports fans.

Axie plans to continue growing awareness for the brand across the LATAM region following the extended partnership deal with Esporte Clube Bahia. According to Hill, Axi wanted to deliver unforgettable football moments to both traders and partners.

The marketing efforts being made by Axi are having an impact as the CFDs trading volumes on the platform increased to $16.7 billion in March, representing a 60% month-over-month increase. The demand for products offered by the broker also increased significantly.
