Brief history
Foundations of AT&T were laid with invention of telephone by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. Since its inception, AT&T has been known for providing top quality and reliable telecommunications services.
Products and services
AT&T offers it products and services in five major categories – consumer, wholesale, small business, local search and enterprise. In consumer section, AT&T offers products and services like wireless, home phone, integrated services, local search, entertainment, additional customer offerings, broadband, internet safety, bundles and wireless safety.
In small business services section, AT&T offers products and services like wireless voice data, local and long distance voice, broadband and networking, AT&T local search and integrated services.
In enterprise section, major products and services of AT&T are wireless or mobility solutions, unified communications solutions, IP VPN, data and managed data solutions, voice over IP, consulting and integration solutions, hosting and application, multi-enterprise collaboration, security and business continuity, business equipment and systems, local and long distance voice and local search.
In wholesale section, AT&T provides a number of useful products and services like carriers, system integrators, wireless service providers, ISPs, cable providers and content providers. In AT&T local search section, AT&T offers products like yellowpages.com, AT&T directory assistance and AT&T real yellow pages.
Financials
In 2007, sales of AT&T amounted to around $118.93 billion and it earned profits worth nearly $11.95 billion. Assets held by AT&T were worth about $275.64 billion and its market value stood at around $210.22 billion.
