Alipay+ and DNA Payments Begin UK’s Online Payment Service For Global Tourists

Tourists have received exciting news from the UK tourism industry. Alipay+ and DNA Payments have partnered to change the way tourists spend their money in the country.
Alipay+ is a portfolio of international mobile payment and digitalization technology services managed by Ant International. Together with DNA Payments, the platform plans to allow 50,000 merchants who use DNA Payments’ POS terminals in the UK to offer payment services to global tourists.
Alipay+ and DNA Payments Has Enabled Tourists To Pay Online In The UK
Explorers from many countries can now make payments in the UK without using cash, especially those from Asia. The latest development is set to benefit the country’s travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
Users of 14 different e-wallets working with Alipay+ can use their e-wallets to make mobile payments at certain hospitality businesses. These include the Durrants Hotel, Lochside House Hotel Spa & Lodges, and Boisdale Restaurant Group. This pilot program will continue until it is fully launched.
Clients can easily complete their transactions using mobile payment applications to scan a unique QR code shown on DNA Payments’ POS terminal. This process makes making payments in the United Kingdom easy for international visitors. It also enables merchants to engage with their customers better using DNA Payments’ POS solutions.
The 14 e-wallets collaborating with Alipay+ at launch are AlipayHK (Hong Kong SAR, China), Alipay (Chinese mainland), Touch’ n Go eWallet & MyPB by Public Bank Berhad (Malaysia), MPay (Macao SAR, China), OCBC Digital, Changi Pay (Singapore), GCash (The Philippines), TrueMoney (Thailand), Kakao Pay, Tinaba (Italy), Toss Pay (South Korea), and Naver Pay.

DNA Payments Chief Executive Officer JP LIPS stated that the United Kingdom is excellent for Asian visitors who travel for study, work, or leisure. He noted that it’s a popular place for customers who would make payments in a way they know so well.
LIPS added that food and beverage firms, hospitality businesses, and Retailers that adopt Alipay, TrueMoney, and MPay have a high chance of making many sales.
