Unilever Reports Strong H1 Performance Amid Rising Demand for Sustainable Products

Unilever Plc delivered strong financial results for the first half of 2025, fueled by increased consumer demand for sustainable and health-focused products. The Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant reported revenue of €32 billion, up 8% year-over-year, supported by growth in emerging markets and premium product lines.
The company’s personal care division, which includes brands such as Dove, Axe, and Vaseline, saw revenue growth of 10%, driven by new product launches emphasizing eco-friendly ingredients and packaging. Unilever’s food and refreshments segment also expanded, with strong sales of plant-based and organic food products.
CEO Helena Morris highlighted Unilever’s commitment to sustainability during the earnings call. “Consumers are increasingly seeking products that align with their values, and our innovation pipeline reflects this trend. We continue to lead the industry in reducing environmental impact while delivering growth,” Morris said.
Unilever has accelerated investments in renewable energy and waste reduction initiatives across its global operations. The company aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2035, aligning with global climate goals.
The company’s digital transformation strategy, focusing on direct-to-consumer channels and AI-powered marketing, contributed to improved customer engagement and sales efficiency.
Despite inflationary pressures and geopolitical uncertainties affecting commodity prices and supply chains, Unilever’s diversified portfolio and focus on sustainability-driven growth provide resilience.
Investors reacted positively to the earnings release, with Unilever’s shares rising 3% in European trading.
