Visa is bringing a new set of digital tools to Asia Pacific that use artificial intelligence to improve the way users pay and receive money. At a regional showcase, the company introduced services that focus on faster, easier, and more secure payments. The firm said these updates are designed to support the future of digital commerce in the region.
The company launched Visa Intelligent Commerce, a platform that allows developers to use Visa’s technology to build AI-powered shopping tools. This includes features for selecting, paying, and managing purchases through digital agents. Visa said it is working with Grab, Tencent, and Ant International on this project.
Visa Partners With Grab, Tencent, And Ant To Expand Its Services In Asia
According to the update, Visa’s new partners serve millions of users across Asia. Grab offers transport, food delivery, and digital payments. Tencent operates platforms like WeChat. Ant International supports cross-border digital payments. Visa said working with these companies helps bring its services to more users in more areas.
Visa also introduced new services for digital currency. It now supports stablecoin-backed cards, which allow users to use regular money to get stablecoins and spend them at Visa merchants. In Asia Pacific, Visa is working with DCS Singapore, DTC Pay, and StraitsX on these cards.
The company has already settled over $225 million in stablecoin volume. It now allows for stablecoin settlement every day of the week through StraitsX. Visa said this improves speed and access for users who prefer digital currency.
Visa Expands Tokenized Asset Platform For Digital Payments
Another growing service is the Visa Tokenized Asset Platform. This system helps partners create and manage digital tokens backed by regular money. These tokens can be used across public and private blockchain systems. Visa said it wants to bring this tool to more partners in the coming months.
Visa Flex Credential is also growing in the region. This tool allows one card to switch between debit, credit, and rewards. In Japan, over 5 million users have joined through a local bank. Visa said spending with Flex is higher than with most regular cards.
Flex has been expanded to support small businesses. Owners can use the same card for both personal and business needs. Visa is also working with banks in Vietnam to launch Flex soon. The firm said this helps more users manage their money with less hassle.
New services like Visa Pay and Visa Accept are also being added. Visa Pay helps local wallets connect to any merchant that accepts Visa, online or in-store. Visa Accept lets small sellers use their phones to take contactless payments. Visa said these tools are built to help users across both cities and rural areas.
Visa is also focusing on digital identity tools. These include features that confirm identity and help stop fraud. Visa said better security and faster approval rates are key parts of its push to grow AI commerce.
Across all these updates, the company is aiming to support a wide range of users, from large platforms to micro-sellers. Visa said its goal is to make digital payments easier and more secure as AI plays a bigger role in daily life.
