Revolut has launched a new in-app calling feature to improve customer safety. This feature is designed to help personal customers stay safe from impersonation scams. Revolut said these scams happen when fraudsters pretend to be banks or trusted people. They use tricks to get funds from customers.

According to the update, fraud cases among Revolut’s customers have dropped to their lowest levels in almost two years. Revolut said this development comes as its user base continues to grow swiftly. The company spent months developing the feature to help customers talk safely with support staff.

Revolut Aims To Prevent Impersonation Scams with The New Feature

In a statement, Woody Malouf, head of financial crime at Revolut, explained why this new system is important. He said impersonation scams are a serious problem for many people and that stopping them early, before any money is transferred, is the best way to protect customers.

Malouf also advised customers to be cautious of unplanned calls from people claiming to represent Revolut. He said most of Revolut’s calls will now take place through its app. If someone receives a suspicious call about their account, they should check the app to confirm if the person is truly from Revolut. This ensures customers only speak to Revolut and not fraudsters.

Revolut said the in-app calling feature works right inside its app. This setup keeps chats safe and stops others from pretending to be Revolut. Customers will also get alerts about this feature, letting them know most calls from Revolut will now happen in the app.

Revolut Plans To Expand The In-app Calling Feature

Revolut said business customers will soon use the in-app calling feature. This is part of its plan to keep all customer chats safe. The company shared that the feature will help stop scams and help people feel more secure when using their accounts.

In other news, Revolut announced a sponsorship with Manchester City Women. This is the first time Revolut has worked with women’s football. The company said it is excited to support sports and help teams grow.

As part of the partnership, the Revolut logo will be on Manchester City Women’s training kits. The logos will be seen during training sessions, showing Revolut’s support for the team. Team captain Alex Greenwood will also be a Revolut ambassador, helping to share the news.

Revolut and Manchester City Women are planning fun events for fans. One event will happen during the team’s match against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium in March. Revolut will host a special takeover, and fans will get unique rewards as part of this partnership.
