Tech giant Google has redesigned its Google Pay app to help shoppers see use BNPL on more websites and replace CVV codes with biometrics at checkout.

Google Pay To Make The Checkout Process Simpler For Users
Volk stated that the process begins by focusing on the end-user and comprehending their unmet needs and valuable insights. This is their approach to everything. Google Pay’s team invests significant time in engaging with their users, comprehending them, and observing the market trends.
Volk also stated that the new plan focuses on making smart credentials more important than using digital wallets. These credentials can be used anywhere a user wants to buy something. He thinks they will be easy for users who want to quickly go to a store, buy something, and leave.
Volk stated that the feature assists users in selecting the card with the best rewards for their purchase, making it easier to decide which card to use for maximum benefit. He revealed that more partners are currently discussing about the new feature.
Google Pay Wants To Provide Users With More Payment Options
Google Pay has also expanded its “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) choices to cover more stores and Android apps throughout the U.S. Customers can connect their current BNPL accounts (currently only limited to Affirm and Zip) or register for new ones directly via Google Pay, giving them more options for paying.
Volk, who joined Google last autumn after spending 15 years overseeing payments at Amazon, pointed out the increasing popularity of BNPL. This increasing popularity is particularly among younger consumers looking for flexible payment options for managing their budgets.
The announcement discussed about utilizing biometric authentication for security. This new feature uses the device unlock option to automatically fill in all the card details without needing to type in the security codes. Google Pay now lets users put in their card information using a PIN, face scan, or fingerprint
The new initiative makes the checkout process simpler and includes biometric choices for users, starting with card benefits at checkout. Google Pay now shows specific benefits for American Express and Capital One cardholders when checking out on Chrome desktop.
