Americas Credit Union (ACU) is a full service and fully insured financial cooperative that got its start in 1954. One way in which ACU differs from other banks and credit unions is that it is both member owned as well as member operated. What this means is that every customer is not just a customer but also a member whose voice can be heard regarding how the financial institution should be run. The services and rates (such as the Americas Credit Union CD rates) are given to customers/members for their benefit and the profits made are then returned to the people who made it possible.
