TD Canada Trust is the small business and commercial banking arm of Toronto-Dominion Bank in Canada. TD Canada Trust provides a wide range of financial services to more than 10 million customers in Canada through a network of more than 1,100 branches and 2,600 ATMs.[br]
Canada Trust (CT), formerly an independent entity, was a trust company that was founded in London, Ontario, and later established its headquarters in Toronto and operated in Canada through subsidiaries, including Canada Trustco Mortgage Company and The Canada Trust Company. CT was acquired by Toronto-Dominion (TD) in 2000 and adopted the name “TD Bank Financial Group”. CT then merged with TD’s retail banking division to form a new entity called TD Canada Trust.
