Issued by the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), the RBS Platinum Card is especially meant for the bank’s current accountholders. Moreover, you must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for RBS Platinum Card:[br]

  • Aged 18 years or more

  • Earning a minimum of £10,000 per annum

 

To apply for the card, you must provide the following within the application:

  • Your RBS account number

  • Your sort code

  • Your personal information

 

RBS Platinum Card: Benefits

RBS Platinum Card offers several financial and non-financial benefits to its cardholders.

Financial benefits:

  • Transfer your balance within three months of account opening without any charges. However, you will be charged a 2.9% fee (a minimum of £5) when you transfer balance during this period.

  • Transfer 95% of your available credit limit.

  • No interest charges on purchases over the first three months of account opening.

  • Pay a typical APR of 16.9% (variable).

  • No interest will be charged for 56 days on purchases made through the card.

  • Get up to £750 cash advance from cash machines across the world. You will have to pay a handling fee of 3%.

  • There is no annual fee.

  • Receive a1% discount on the APR over the first 12 months if you are a Royalties current accountholder.

 

Travel benefits:

  • Organize your holidays or business travel. There are discounts on advance bookings and last-minute bargains.

  • Get advice on visas, passports, health and vaccinations.

  • Get essential medical transport if you fall ill overseas.[br] 

 

RBS Platinum Card: Special Discounts

Cardholders of RBS Platinum Card are eligible for the following discounts:

  • 10% off on all products bought from HP retail outlets in the UK. You can select from a wide range of PCs, printers and other accessories.

  • 10% discount on UK short breaks with Britain’s leading short break operator Superbreak.

  • 20% discount at Buyagift.com. You can choose from more than 2000 incredible gift ideas, such as spa breaks, Ferrari driving and hampers.

 

Holders of the RBS Platinum Card can manage their accounts online and are protected by the bank’s usual card security features, such as Internet fraud protection and fraud warning text alerts.
