Seasoned Trader Peter Brandt Projects Bitcoin to Reach $200K After Q3 2029

On November 21, veteran trader Peter Brandt pushed back against bold predictions that Bitcoin could hit $200,000 before the end of 2025. While some crypto leaders expect a rapid price pump, Brandt argued that Bitcoin may need almost four more years to reach that level.
Bitcoin Dump Might Be Its Best Opportunity Yet
The basis for Brandt’s caution is tied to current market behavior.
Despite reaching a record high of $126,198 on October 6, 2025, Bitcoin’s price has since corrected sharply. It is currently trading at $83,737, reflecting a 33% decline from its peak.

Brandt contends that this recent downturn may ultimately benefit the market. In his view, the pullback resets overextended expectations, cools speculative fervor, and allows for a healthier foundation. A sustained bull cycle, he suggests, can only be built upon such a reset.
The veteran trader’s cautious outlook is further informed by a historical market parallel. Last month, he cautioned that Bitcoin’s chart was exhibiting similarities to the soybean market of the 1970s.
Following a period of extreme highs, soybeans experienced a precipitous 50% drop as supply overwhelmed demand.
Should this pattern repeat in the crypto sphere, the repercussions would be widespread. It was warned that such a downturn could severely impact entities like Michael Saylor’ Strategy, whose high average purchase price would leave its company deeply “underwater.” The company’s stock, MSTR, now trades near its 52-week low and faces potential removal from major equity indices.
Clock is Ticking for Previous Uptick BTC Price Projections
Time is running out for many bold price prediction targets set for 2025.
On October 29, Saylor predicted the likelihood of Bitcoin rising to $150,000 before the end of 2025. He pointed to lower volatility and clearer regulations as the two major forces behind his optimistic stance.

Other crypto figures see even higher highs coming, just not in 2025.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong had predicted in August the possibility of Bitcoin rallying to $1 million by 2030. Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey also expects a $1million value for Bitcoin by the same year.
Meanwhile, Cathie Wood of ARK Invest has outlined a bull-case scenario of $1.5 million.
Brandt’s insights lean on cycles, history, and long-term behaviour. It expects volatility and setbacks. While Bitcoin is anticipated to grow, the veteran trader believes it will be slower and steadier than the loudest voices suggest.
