To contact Barclays Bank Customer Service, phone numbers and support information can be tracked down using Barclays main website – http://www.barclays.com/ or using the “contact us” web page –  http://ask.barclays.co.uk/contact/ . This page provides a variety of links depending of the mode of communication preferred or required. Following the “Find our telephone number” link results in an ordered list of numbers organized alphabetically by product or service.  All our UK numbers but in many cases alternative phone numbers are provided for those living outside of the UK. Most telephone lines are open during regular business hours, but a few such as the number used to report lost or stolen cards, can be reached on a 24 hour emergency basis. In the UK the number is 01604 230 230, those outside the UK are urged to dial +44 1604 230 230.

Those wishing to find a local branch or cash machine can click on the “Find a branch or cash machine” link, which takes users to a search page which returns addresses surrounding the entered field of street, town or postcode, as well as a map and approximate distance from the original location. Selecting one of the returned locations also brings up a smaller window that includes telephone number for that particular branch as well as business hours and exact street address.[br]

Barclays also welcomes feedback and complaints. In order to file one, those filing complaints should provide their name and address, account number and sort code, daytime phone number and the hours contact is preferred, along with the details of the complaint including copies of any relevant documentation. Complaints can be shared with local branches or by phone at 0800 282 390 or +44 (0)207 116 7488 outside of the UK. Postal correspondence can be sent to Customer Relations, Barclays Bank PLC, 1 Churchill Place, FREEPOST, RTLA-CSUE-TCHC, London, E14 5HP.

Those who prefer email can use Barclays email contact form. Users are discouraged from including confidential information in these emails as they means of communication is not completely secured. For similar reasons instructions or inquiries regarding a specific account number are not acted upon due to security reasons. Those who wish to change addresses or something of a more personal, sensitive nature should direct their inquiries and requests to live customer service personnel either via telephone or in person at one of the local branches.
