Allstate was founded in the year 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.It is one of the largest publicly owned personal insurers selling 13 major lines of insurance including auto, property, life and commercial.

The company provides insurance products to more than 17 million households. From estimation it is found that the company insures one out of every nine autos and one out of every eight homes in the U.S., and are one of the country’s leading life insurers.
