SC Ventures has agreed to hand over its supply chain finance platform in India, called Solv, to Jumbotail. SC Ventures established Solv in 2019 and the application has been helping small shop owners across India by giving them a place to buy goods, get help with loans, and use digital tools for their shops.
Jumbotail is a company that helps grocery shops get the supplies they need through a phone app. The firm said it also gives them help with store tools and ways to grow their shop. It has many users across the country, mostly small shop owners.
Jumbotail Aims To Help Shops Get More Support and Products
SC Ventures said the move will allow Jumbotail to offer more support to these shops. It noted that the two teams will now work together to reach more parts of India. It believes that the new team will help shopkeepers sell more items, such as clothes, home items, and school supplies, not just food.
According to reports, Solv India already has a good system. This includes a safe place for online buying and selling. The application also offers ways for shops to receive support when they need money. SC Ventures said Jumbotail will now take this system and use it along with its own ideas.
The company noted that this deal still needs to go through some checks by some regulators in India. Once the process has ended, Jumbotail will fully take over Solv India. The firm will be able to reach new shop owners with more products. It said Solv’s tools for tracking sales, buying items online, and helping with money will now become part of Jumbotail’s app.
The company explained that small shops often find it hard to buy a lot of items or get money when they need it. Now with this new team, they hope it will become easier. They also believe more shop owners can be helped at once with this new plan.
Jumbotail Plans To Support Small Shops To Do Better In Their Communities
Jumbotail said it believes small shops are very important for families. These shops help families buy the things they need each day. By bringing Solv into its team, Jumbotail hopes to offer more help and better service to these shopkeepers.
The new plan will also allow shops to get loans without stress. Solv already has a system for checking if a shop can get money support, and Jumbotail will use that system too. SC Ventures said it will no longer run Solv India but will still support the new team in some ways. One of its team members will join Jumbotail’s board to help guide the work ahead.
Both companies said the new team will focus on helping shops run smoothly. They believe that their work will bring better tools and more comfort for shopkeepers. This deal shows that both teams want small shops to do better and reach more homes. They believe helping these shops is the key to strong local markets.
